MAINTENANCE | PLUMBERS

Plumbers are skilled tradespeople who specialize in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in buildings. These systems include the pipes, fixtures, and appliances that supply and remove water and gas, and remove waste. Plumbers are responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of these systems, which are essential to the functioning of any building.

One of the main responsibilities of plumbers is to install and maintain the pipes and fixtures that supply water and gas to a building. This may involve working with a variety of materials, including copper, PVC, and PEX, and may require the use of specialized tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering equipment. Plumbers must also be able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, and be able to work to precise measurements.

Plumbers are also responsible for the installation and maintenance of the appliances and fixtures that use water, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs. They must be familiar with the different types of appliances and fixtures available, and be able to install and repair them as needed. Additionally, they must be able to diagnose and repair leaks and other problems with the plumbing system.

Plumbers also have to be familiar with the local codes and regulations that govern plumbing, including those related to water supply and waste management. They must also be able to work safely and follow all relevant health and safety regulations.
